Quick Start Guide: Managed Curation

This guide is for customers who have partnered with Catch+Release for curation support.

If our team is sourcing and organizing content for you, your role is simple: collaborate, review, and move great content through clearance and licensing.


1. Create your Catch+Release account

If you don’t already have an account, start here:
How do I create a Catch+Release account?

Once your account is created, your Customer Success Manager will connect you to the right Team and projects.


2. Join your Team

Curation projects live in a Team workspace, not a personal workspace. You’ll receive an email invite to join the Team created for your project.

3. Review your curated Project

When curation is included, Catch+Release will create the Project and add sourced content for you. Inside the Project, you can:

  • Review curated shots

  • Download comp files

  • Leave comments or notes

  • Share the Project with collaborators


4. Make Selects and build Storyboards

As you review content, mark your favorite shots as Selects. Selects automatically flow into Storyboards, making it easy to visualize creative direction and gather feedback.

5. Add usage details

Usage details tell us how the content will be used and allow our clearance team to begin outreach. You can add or review usage information directly in the Project.

6. Request clearance and track progress

Once Selects and usage details are in place, request clearance. You can monitor progress, confidence ratings, and file availability throughout the process.

7. License and download your content

When shots clear, you’ll be notified. From there, you can proceed with licensing and download high-resolution files when available.

8. How payment is handled

When you’re ready to license cleared content, simply check out in the platform.

Your Customer Success Manager will follow up to handle invoicing and PO collection, making it easy to align with your internal billing process. We’ll guide you through next steps and timing so nothing slows you down.
