You can import content into Catch+Release using a URL. This allows you to bring in shots you have already found online and manage them alongside the rest of the shots in your project.
Import shots from a URL
Make sure you are logged into your team space.
Click the + Add Shots button in the top navigation:
In the pop-up window, you will see a search bar for the Creator Marketplace and suggested shots.
Select the Import from URL tab:
Paste one or more URLs into the field.
Click Save to Project.
Choose the project where you want to add the shot(s).
Click Save.
The system will begin importing the content. This usually takes a few minutes.
Check the import status
After submitting your URLs, return to your project to monitor the import.
If the system needs your attention, an Action Needed tab will appear in the project.
Successfully imported shots will appear in the Shots tab.
They will also appear on the Overview page under Recently Imported.
If a shot requires review, it will appear in the Action Needed tab with a Review indicator.
Once all imports are successfully completed, the Action Needed tab will disappear from the project.
Why a shot might require review
Sometimes the system cannot automatically determine which asset to import from a URL.
Common reasons include:
The page contains multiple images or media options.
The URL does not contain a detectable asset.
The page structure prevents the system from identifying the media.
If this happens, open the Action Needed tab and review the shot to resolve the issue.
Tips for successful URL imports
Use links that point to a single image, video, or post whenever possible.
Pages with galleries or multiple images may require manual review.
You can paste multiple URLs at once to import several shots into a project.
