Payment process initiation

When your shot is licensed by a brand, you will be notified via email and on your Catch+Release Workspace. Once you receive this notification, your payment process will kick off within 21 days.

The next steps depend on what payment process you chose when accepting the offer. If you don't remember what you chose, you can find it in the offer details page for the licensed shot. You can view all your offers at catchandrelease.com/offers.

Next steps if you chose PayPal

  1. Sign up for PayPal if you don't have an account.

  2. Payment will be sent 21 days after you were notified that your shot was licensed.

Additional info about payment through PayPal

Please be aware that Paypal may apply a fee that we cannot cover on your behalf. Additionally, depending on the total payments you receive from us throughout the year, Paypal may issue you a 1099 form as required by the IRS.

Next steps if you chose ACH/wire transfer

1. Provide payment details to Bill.com via an email link.

2. Provide any required tax information required via an email link.

3. Get paid!

Additional info about payment through ACH/wire transfer

You'll receive an invitation from our payment vendor, Bill.com, to set up your account and input your bank details. Please note that Catch+Release does not have access to your banking information. Bill.com adheres to strict cyber security standards mandated for all banking institutions.

You may also need to fill out a W9 or W8BEN, a US Tax form, which is a requirement by the IRS. You'll receive an invitation from tax1099.com to complete this step. Alternatively, you can email a PDF of the form directly from the IRS website to payments@catchandrelease.com. Note that we cannot proceed with payment until we receive the necessary tax form.

Please check your spam folder if you haven't received the invitation link within 21 days.

In cases where you haven't entered your banking details into Bill.com within 30 days, we'll proceed with sending you a check, assuming all required tax information has been provided.
