We understand that creative direction can shift quickly. While some services are non-refundable once work has started, others offer limited cancellation windows. Below is a breakdown of Catch+Release's cancellation terms for Curation, Clearance, Licensing, and Managed Services.

Curation
When can I cancel a Curation request?
C+R invoices for Curation Services only after delivery. However, for Next-Day Curation, cancellation deadlines are strict:
Next-Day Curation: Must be canceled by 5 PM EST the weekday prior to avoid a fee.
If canceled after this cutoff, a 50% Cancellation Fee of the Curation Fee will apply.
For all other Curation timelines, contact your Customer Success Manager to discuss options.
Clearance
Can I cancel a shot that’s already in clearance?
Yes — and it’s often a good idea.
Refund Eligibility:
Cancel within 24 hours of submitting a shot for clearance, and any fees paid (including for add-ons) will be refunded — as long as clearance hasn’t already been completed.
If the shot reaches “Ready to License” status within that 24-hour window, no refund will be issued, even if you cancel within the timeframe.
How to Cancel a Shot:
Navigate to the shot in your project or collection.
Click the ellipses (⋯) in the top-right corner.
Select “Cancel Request.”
Why cancel even after the 24-hour window?
Canceling a shot that’s no longer relevant or desired — even if fees aren’t refunded — helps your project stay focused. It also prevents accidental licensing of unused content and keeps your Tracker clean for you and your team.
Licensing
Can I cancel a license after it’s been purchased?
In most cases, licensing is final. However, when cancellation is possible:
It is subject to a minimum 50% cancellation fee of the original license price.
The fee may be higher than 50% if Catch+Release has incurred non-refundable costs to secure rights from the creator or other rights holders.
This policy ensures fairness to creators and third parties who commit rights based on your license request.
Managed Services
Can I cancel Managed Services?
Managed Services fees are non-refundable upon award. This includes all tiers:
$5,000 – for projects with fewer than 20 licenses
$15,000 – for projects with 20+ licenses or complex support needs
Custom projects – priced according to scope
Please confirm scope and needs with your Account Executive before committing.
